Hebei Guoliang Company Achieves Breakthrough in Refractory General Contracting Services | Hebei Donghai Special Steel Successfully Conducts Hot-load Trials of RH Vacuum Refining Furnace

On February 7th, 2026, The Hot-load trial of the RH vacuum refining furnace at the NO.2 steel plant of Hebei Donghai Special Steel Group Co., Ltd., provided by Hebei Guoliang New Material Co., Ltd for the general contracting service of refractories, was successfully completed. The furnace successfully smelted the first RH refining liquid steel, all indicators meet the design standards. The successful trial marks a significant leap in the production capacity of high-quality special steel by Donghai Special Steel. At the same time, it also demonstrates the general contracting service level of Guoliang company in the field of high-end metallurgical refractories.

In order to comply with the trend of industry product upgrading and green and low-carbon transformation, Donghai Special Steel and Guoliang company reached a cooperation agreement to jointly promote the construction of the RH vacuum refining furnace project in 2025, .Since the project implementation, both parties have collaborated closely, conducting multiple rounds of technical argumentation and optimization on the preliminary design plan. Guoliang compay is responsible for the entire process including refractories R&D, customized production, construction masonry and equipment commissioning. The project team overcame difficulties and worked continuously, efficiently advancing over a month. It was successfully completed the key milestone of the Hot-load trial on February 7, 2026.

The Hot-load trial process is smooth and steady, from the first furnace of molten steel pouring the RH furnace, temperature measurement and sampling, immersion tube insertion to start the vacuum system, blow argon refining and other processes completed in one go. On-site testing showed that key parameters such as vacuum degree, furnace temperature and equipment operating status all meet normal production standards. The vacuum chamber exhibits excellent stability under high-temperature hot-load conditions. The sampling indicators of the first batch of refined liquid steel are superior and fully meet production requirements.
