The Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia to the People’s Republic of China Iven Zyuulu visits Guoliang New Energy Research Institute

On February 27th, 2026, The Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia to the People’s Republic of China Iven Zyuulu, accompanied by Li Xin, Chairman of the International Service Trade Working Committee of the China Overseas Industry Development Association, and Yu Fusheng, General Manager of Tangshan Yisheng Technology Co., Ltd., visited Guoliang New Energy Research Institute for communication. Dong Guoliang, Chairman of Hebei Guoliang New Materials Co., Ltd., attended the reception and communication.

Iven Zyuulu and his delegation first visited the exhibition hall and pilot workshop of the research institute. In the subsequent discussion and communication, Dong Guoliang warmly welcomed the arrival of Ambassador Iven Zyuulu and provided a detailed introduction to the 30-year development history of Guoliang company, as well as the research and development, pilot testing, achievement transformation and industrialization of Guoliang New Energy Research Institute in the field of new materials for new energy. Ambassador Iven Zyuulu introduced the profound friendship and cooperation history between China and Zambia and also mentioned that Zambia has abundant mineral resources such as copper, gold and lithium. He looks forward to strengthening technical cooperation with Chinese enterprises in related fields and enhancing the green and sustainable development level of local industries. Both sides had friendly exchanges on investigation, talent training and other related topics.

Zambia is known as the "country of copper mines", an important partner of the "the Belt and Road" cooperation, and a member of the Southern African Development Community, the Common Market for Southeast Africa and the African Free Trade Zone. China and Zambia have achieved significant results in deep cooperation in various fields such as infrastructure construction, mining development, economic and trade cooperation and green energy.
