Magnesia Carbon Brick

Magnesia carbon brick is produced by high pressure molding process, using high purity, high density fused magnesia or large crystal magnesia and high purity graphite as raw materials.

As a kind of composite refractory material, magnesia carbon brick effectively utilizes the strong slag resistance of magnesia and the high thermal conductivity and low expansion of carbon to compensate for the poor spalling resistance of magnesia.

Applications of Magnesia Carbon Brick

Magnesia Carbon Brick for Steelmaking

Thanks to their outstanding performance, magnesium carbon bricks are especially suitable for steelmaking processes. The carbon component provides strong resistance to erosion from molten steel and slag, while magnesia offers high refractoriness, excellent slag resistance, and good creep resistance.

Applications in Other High-Temperature Industries

Beyond steelmaking, mag carbon bricks are also widely used in various high-temperature furnaces where resistance to alkaline corrosion is required
